I am truly blessed with the best friends in the world. I got to spend this past weekend with Danielle and enjoyed every minute of it. She is such a blessing in my life... the type of friend I know I will have FOREVER. She surprised me with this visit and it was exactly what I needed... some D&D time! Thank you Danielle for coming this weekend!
We celebrated her birthday at Mi Cocina on Friday night and went through two rounds of drinks and 3 hours of conversaiton... it was so FUN! After Mico we came home and crashed!
Once we finally woke up on Saturday morning we went to Starbucks and then off to the Trinity River where we ran/jogged/walked and almost died of heat exhaustion. It was too hot to be outside... but its so peaceful to walk next to the Trinity. We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping - which is always bad when we do together cause we dont know when to stop... we didnt do too much damage though! :)
Saturday night was my favorite - we cooked together just like we did when we lived on Washington Boulevard in Abilene. We made an amazing artichoke citrus pesto that was definately a repeat! We visited over our yummy meal and a bottle of vino... YUM!
Sunday was kind of crazy... my car broke down, had to get it jump started at the gas station as we were on our way to the airport... thankfully we got there in time... but I wasn't ready to say bye to Danielle. I hate that we live in two differnt places...
And then to top off an already hectic Sunday... I got lost on the way home and called JC crying... he sweetly guided me toward the correct highway that would lead me back to Fort Worth and not to Plano... YIKES!
Another Monday down... the week is one day closer to the weekend. Usually once I can get past Monday its not too bad... but this week is going to be a crazy one too... at work and at home. Tomorrow I have to take my stupid broken car to the dealership and hopefully wont have to spend the whole day waiting... I hate car problems... and it's not like I can ask my Daddy to take care of them anymore... I already tried... Then Thursday night I am flying stand-by to New Mexico to celebrate my Pawpa's 75th birthday with him and all our family. I AM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED TO GO TO NM and hope that the flights are open enough that I can get there! And hopefully JC will be able to meet us there too!
I know this wasn't the best post ever, so if you made it to this paragraph, thank you! I think with JC being gone I dont really have anyone to just talk to and dump the stories of my day or weekend on... so I guess this blog is serving its purpose! :)
If you have time check out this song... I promise you will find your self blessed and encouraged after watching this video. I was listening to it while writing this post... its a beautiful representation of the hieghth and width and lenght and depth of our Savior's love for us.
Be Blessed!
