One Year Down... Many More to go!

I just got back from a wonderful weekend with my wonderful husband.

He originally purchased a ticket to fly to Fort Worth for the weekend once he found out he would not be expected to be on call on the weekends... but then his Doctor told him that he needed to come in this weekend...so, thankfully we were able to get our money back for the plane ticket but both of us were obviously sad that we wouldn't get to see each other. I made plans with some girl friends to hang out at the pool to try to take my mind off of not being able to spend my one year anniversary with my husband... I was on my way to the pool when I got a call from JC saying that he was done for the weekend... and that he didn't have to go to the hospital on Sunday like expected.

So, we quickly made plans to meet half way in Abilene. Our wonderful friends Ashley and Austin opened up there home to us so we didn't have to pay for a hotel and JC and I got to spend the evening together celebrating our FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!

We visited at Starbucks for a while, went to see Get Smart and then we to eat dinner as this wonderful steak house in Abilene... it was perfect.

I loved listening to him talk about his past week in pediatrics. He sounds like he is really enjoying it... I knew he would. He is such a people person and I know that deep down he LOVES kids and is secretly jealous of John and Kate... He would LOVE to have 8 kids! :)

So, heres to this past year of marriage.. the best year of my life... looking forward to the many, many, many more to follow - I love you Jeffrey Clay!
