Proud to be an American

I am so proud to be an American and am so proud and thankful for all those who have made America such a wonderful nation. We as Americans are so blessed by the price that was paid for our freedom. I am so grateful for the men and women who serve our country here and abroad.

I was reading my bible tonight and came across this passage that spoke to me differently than it ever has before. Tonight this verse was about the great nation that we live in and the election that will take place in a few months.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philipp 4.6-7

My prayer is that not only will my heart and mind be guided by Christ - but also the hearts and minds of every other American who will be voting in November.
