$20 Trail Mix

One of my favorite things to do with JC (or my self for that matter) is go to Central Market and walk around acting like I can afford to be there. :) JC and I go to Central Market quite often, usually with a short grocery list or a new recipe to try... but this past weekend I had the great idea to go back into their bulk section and make our very own trail mix. We both thought this was the best idea ever...

So we marched on in, as if we go there daily... and went back to the bulk section and began to fill bags up with almonds, peanuts, cashews, soy nuts, banana chips, golden rasins, dried cranberries and pineapple and dark chocoalte chips... (my mouth is watering)... we weighed everything and began to realize that this wasnt just a great idea... $20 later we went home with the most expensive (but oh so yummy) trail mix I have ever had... and was sucks is that because it was so expensive we dont want to eat it... we want it to last forever.

I still love central market and cant wait till the day that I really can do my grocery shopping there. They have the BEST bakery, BEST produce and BEST flowers...

This past weekend we spend our first Easter as husband and wife... ALONE! It was so sad... We missed our familes and friends so much and realized once again that we cant wait to move back home to be closer to family. Since we usually spend holiday with our families.. and since Dana Crews is apart of this family we always have great holiday pictures to share... not this time... this time we had to figure out how to use the self timer and prop it up on the kitchen counter using a wad of paper towels and a wooden spoon... heres what we got...



Not bad... but definatly not something Dana would be proud of. :) I spent my whole life wishing she would just get away from me with that camera... and now... I wish she was here... or I was there... weird how that happens!
